What This Sign Means

In the direction of the arrow or arrows, you are not allowed to stop your vehicle unless you are driving a bus.

Effectively — it is a no stopping zone unless you are a BUS.

Hours of Operation

Some Bus Zone signs include hours of operation. When hours are shown, the restriction applies during those times only — outside those hours, normal stopping rules apply.

Other vehicles — including cars, motorcycles, and trucks — must not stop in a Bus Zone at any time during the hours shown, even briefly to drop off or pick up a passenger.

Buses may stop in a Bus Zone to pick up or set down passengers.
